It’s another tuesday, everybody, and time for the first of my freebies from Saucey Lady. Four of her standard-sized sauce bottles that I chose but wasn’t charged for, on the grounds that it was christmas.

Of the sauces that I chose, only two are new, but you’ll be seeing the lot, anyway, as the other feature in recipes and an upcoming video.
For now, though, I’d like to talk about this one:
Her St Clements, named in reference to the classic schoolyard rhyme and her inclusion of both oranges and lemons. Fruit that, when combined with the product’s aji limon chillies and yellow bell peppers, give it a warm and vibrant yellow unlike anything else in her range.
Despite having the exact same label as all of her others, this sauce stands out as a real looker. And its UK Chilli Awards sticker bodes well, too.
But can it live up to those impressive first impressions? Well why don’t we find out?
Alright, everyone, you’ve heard of hot sauce but, today, we’re looking at hop sauce. A green and herby bird’s eye blend from Hop Burns & Black. The most well known chilli retailer in london.
I picked up a few things, when I was last there, but today’s “Hoptimo” is special. Not just because it contains hops but also because it’s a custom creation from Slow Richie’s and Brick Brewery, made specially for the store. This is a Hop Burns exclusive:
But it does, indeed, contain hops. The signature ingredient in one of the shop owners’ other passions: Craft beer.
And, in this review, we’re going to find out what those hops do for hot sauce flavour.
Happy tuesday again, spice lovers! Today marks the return of my most recent sample-sender – Opal Sunshine.
Now, last time we looked at her sauces, Opal did prove herself to be rather heavy handed with the spices in the best of ways but will she still be so when their main focus is their fruit content? That’s what my next two reviews of her company are set to find out. Starting with her Lime-Anero blend.
In terms of ingredients, today’s product is barely any different from her original sauce. That one had lime in it already and its placement on the list has not changed. All that’s different is the apple juice below it:
Habanero Peppers, Scotch Bonnet Peppers, Fresh Carrots, Onion, Garlic, Recardo, Lime Juice, apple juice White Vinegar, Sugar, Salt.
Yet I can assure you, this is most certainly not the same sauce.
